Machine-vision inspection systems

Machine vision turns a repeatable visual quality check into a dependable production decision. We engineer the optical set-up, inspection logic, controls and line response as one complete system.

Application-led engineering

A vision system engineered around your process.

The result is matched to the product presentation, target defect, line speed and available installation space—not selected from a generic camera catalogue.

We start with representative products, known defects, acceptable variation, line speed and the required response. That evidence determines the field of view, resolution, optics, processing and mechanical design.

What it can inspect

Typical machine vision checks.

Every item below is subject to application proof using the actual product, presentation and production conditions.

Feature, component and assembly verification

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Position, orientation and alignment checks

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Label, print and code presence

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Colour, shape and visible surface quality

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Measurement and dimensional tolerance checks

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Pass, reject, stop-line or divert decisions

Configured against agreed examples, limits and the required line response.

Production value

Make the inspection part of the process.

Detection is only useful when the result is delivered to the right control, operator or quality record at the right time.

  • Consistent inspection criteria across every shift
  • Faster response to process drift and recurring defects
  • Objective results with images and data available as specified
  • One engineered interface between camera, PLC and reject handling
Capture to action

One coordinated inspection workflow.

1

Capture

Trigger a stable image using controlled lighting, suitable optics and repeatable product presentation.

2

Decide

Apply proven rules, measurements or trained models with product-specific acceptance limits.

3

Act

Reject, divert, stop, alarm, guide automation or pass the result to production data systems.

Questions, answered

Vision inspection FAQs

Can machine vision inspect products at production speed?

Yes. Camera selection, exposure, lighting and processing are engineered around the line rate and the time available between image capture and the required response.

Can a system be retrofitted to an existing line?

Often, yes. We review access, product handling, guarding, controls, reject space and line signals before recommending a retrofit layout.

Do you provide the camera only?

We can supply a smart-camera project, but most applications benefit from a complete system covering optics, lighting, mounts, controls, guarding, reject handling and commissioning.

Start with the product and defect

Let’s prove the inspection before you commit.

Send us samples, images, line-speed information and the defects you need to detect. We’ll recommend the right next step.
